PHILOSOPHY & TEACHING BACKGROUND

What is my belief system?

I believe that anyone who wants to learn yoga CAN learn yoga. The practice of yoga can be customized to the physical and emotional body you are in NOW. You can do yoga lying, sitting, kneeling, or standing on a mat. If any of those positions are unavailable to you, you can do yoga on and around a chair, in bed or standing at a wall. Yoga practices such as breath regulation, meditation, mantra, chanting can be done in any comfortable position and are accessible to all. My motto is: Your yoga, your way, any day, and feel okay!
What is my style?

My clients and students describe me as "warm, kind, compassionate, empowering and non-judgmental" and say my classes are "comfortable, challenging yet accessible, soothing and safe."

Who inspires me?

No one goes it alone and I am no exception. My style and philosophy are rooted in a rich soil of knowledge seeded by my teachers Elyse Foster and Jacqui Bonwell, my 200 hour Yoga Teacher trainers. Jacqui’s hilarity and unabashed mother earth authenticity guides me to express my truest self in my teaching, writing and life. Other influential teachers and mentors include: Sue Bonnano, Lakshmi Voelker, Sagel Urlacher, Jivana Heyman, Kim Taylor, Pat Iyer, and Paul Denniston.
